First Posted: 10/29/2014 Average gas prices continue to trend downward, with Wilkes-Barre&#8217;s average being down a nickel in the last week.
The national average, down 7 cents in the last week, is only 2 cents away from being an even $3 a gallon.
AAA Mid-Atlantic provided the following data for the average gas prices in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and nationwide:
&#8226; Wilkes-Barre area gas average is at $3.16 today, down a penny overnight and down 5 cents in the last week. Diesel is at $3.72 today, unchanged overnight.
&#8226; Pennsylvania gas average is at $3.16 today, down a penny overnight and down 7 cents in the last week. Diesel is at $3.73 today, unchanged overnight.
&#8226; National gas average is at $3.02 today, down a penny overnight and down 7 cents in the last week. Diesel is at $3.61 today, unchanged overnight.
