Defenseman Hotham nabs pair of honors

First Posted: 4/1/2012 (AP) Dallas Green has won the Juno award for Best Songwriter of the Year at the 41st annual Canadian music awards ceremony.
The Sunday night show in Ottawa, Ontario, kicked off with a performance by divisive rockers Nickelback, who are up for three Junos.
Canadian-born host Captain Kirk himself, 81-year-old William Shatner, followed Nickelback's performance by singing a medley of rock song choruses including "Born to Be Wild," and "Summer of '69."
The Arkells won group of the year Saturday night during a gala awards ceremony. Thirty-four of the 41 Juno Awards were handed out during the gala, including New Group of the Year award to bluesy-rock outfit The Sheepdogs. Adele's "21" won International Album of the Year.
