MEHOOPANY &#8211; Have you ever cuddled with a friendly cow or pig? Do you remember what it feels like to spend an evening among fireflies? What about a moment you learned a new skill or concept to help live a healthy life? Or feeling the satisfaction of eating something you grew?Indraloka Animal Sanctuary&#8217;s first ever Earth Camp is a week full of moments like these.Earth Camp at Indraloka Animal Sanctuary is offered from Monday, July 20 through Sunday, July 26 to students in fifth through eighth grade. Transportation from Clarks Summit is available. The camp is an opportunity for children to experience first-hand connections with gentle, rescued farm animals and deepen their understanding of and appreciation for the natural world around them.Earth Camp will be led by veteran teacher Mike Freidlin, who has been making science accessible and fun for children for over 35 years. Freidlin will be joined by a staff of professional teachers who will lead children in nature walks, science experiments, cooking lessons, animal care activities, art with nature, animal yoga, photography, music and drama activities.The week-long day camp has an optional overnight stay on the last night. Sunday, the last day of camp, is Parents&#8217; Day. Each child will have the opportunity to share with their parents all he/she learned and accomplished during Earth Camp.Registration for one week at Earth Camp is $400 per child, which includes a lunch and two healthy snacks daily.
