Tenacious lawyer heads record office

COGAN HOUSE TWP. &amp;ndash; A Meshoppen man is facing criminal prosecution after he lost control of his sport-utility vehicle in a crash that claimed the lives of his father and a friend late Tuesday night in  County, state police at Montoursville said. 

Police said Isaac Patton Millard, 36, is facing homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence and related charges. 
He remains in Williamsport Hospital for injuries he suffered in the crash, police said. 
Police said Millard was the driver of a 1995 Chevrolet Blazer on Route 15 when he attempted to merge onto Route 184 at about 11:15 p.m. 
Millard lost control of the vehicle, police said, and it traveled down a steep embankment. 
Police said the Blazer became airborne and struck the bottom of the embankment nose-first and came to rest on its roof, police said. 
Two passengers in the vehicle, Ryan Gregory Downs, 42, of Wilkes-Barre, and Leslie Harry Millard, 58, of Meshoppen, were killed, police said. 
Police said Downs and Leslie Millard were not wearing seat belts. They were pronounced dead at the scene, police said. 
Police said that after rescue crews removed Isaac Millard from the wrecked vehicle, he ran away, prompting a search that involved a state police helicopter.
Millard sought help at a residence about a half-mile from the crash, police said. The tenant there was aware of the crash and contacted authorities, police said. 
Police said Millard was taken into custody at about 2 a.m. Wednesday. 
He was transported to Williamsport Hospital for injuries suffered in the crash and for a blood-alcohol test, police said.
