NEWPORT TWP. - A man was charged by township police on Wednesday on allegations he threatened to harm his girlfriend and himself with a loaded shotgun, telling the woman he was going to &amp;quot;do it right...like George Banks,&amp;quot; according to arrest records. . 

Dwayne J. Oshinski, 45, of Robert Street, was charged with two counts each of simple assault and disorderly conduct, and one count each of terroristic threats, harassment and endangering the welfare of children. He was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $5,000 bail. 
According to the criminal complaint: 
Township police were called to a domestic dispute at a Robert Street home around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. Police learned Oshinski and the woman were arguing about their relationship. 
During the argument, the criminal complaint says, Oshinski loaded a shotgun and threatened the woman who was standing near her toddler son. 
Police said in the criminal complaint that the woman claimed Oshinski stated, &amp;quot;I'm gonna do this right, I'm gonna do this like George Banks.&amp;quot; 
Oshinski realized what he was doing, the criminal complaint says, and unloaded the shotgun and placed it in a closet. 
Banks was convicted in 1985 in connection to the slaying of 13 people, including five children, in Wilkes-Barre and Jenkins Township in September 1982. He is serving a life sentence. 
A preliminary hearing for Oshinski is tentatively scheduled for Oct. 29 in Central Court.
