WILKES-BARRE - Authorities traced cell phone signals to Randall Rushing in the  area, specifically the Sherman Hills Apartment Complex, soon after Scranton police found the bodies of three people inside a home Thursday morning, according to a search warrant affidavit. 

The search warrant permitted authorities to lawfully search a home on High Street, Wilkes-Barre, where Rushing was captured by special tactical officers with Wilkes-Barre police, Federal Bureau of Investigation, U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, state police and the Luzerne County Sheriff's Office. 
Rushing, 25, was being sought on Thursday in connection to the slayings of three males in a home on South Irving Avenue, Scranton. 
According to the search warrant and criminal complaint charging Rushing with three counts of criminal homicide: 
Scranton police received a report just before 7 a.m. that three people were killed inside the home. 
Police learned Rushing bound several people, and assaulted them with hammers, a handgun and knives, arrest records say. 
Samantha Hintz told police she was romantically involved with Rushing, who was jealous of her previous relationship with one of the deceased victims. She arrived home from work when Rushing tied her up, and wanted to play &amp;quot;cops and robbers,&amp;quot; the affidavit indicates. 
After Hintz was bound, Rushing removed a blanket that covered the body Justin Berrios, the father of her 2-year old son. 
Rushing fled the residence in Hintz's vehicle, a silver Mercury Sable. 
Rushing's cell phone signal was traced to cell phone towers in the Wilkes-Barre area. The vehicle was found parked on High Street in Wilkes-Barre. 
An informant told authorities that Rushing was inside 268 High St., about 40 yards from where the Mercury was located, the affidavit says. 
Police kept continuous surveillance on the vehicle and the High Street residence. 
District Judge William Amesbury in Wilkes-Barre signed the search warrant that permitted authorities to raid the home, which happened at about 4:20 p.m. when Rushing was captured without incident. 
Rushing was arraigned earlier this morning in Lackawanna County on three counts of criminal homicide, according to court records.
