Milling on South Main Street begins in city Thursday

E.L. Meyers High School Class of 1951 notes 55th anniversary reunion with two-day celebration

<b>First Posted:</b> 12/20/2006<br><br>illiam O. Richards, 77, of Dallas, passed away Dec. 18, at Kindred Care, Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
 Born in Kingston, he was the son of the late Walter A. and Mildred (Kelchner) Richards. He was a graduate of Kingston High School, class of 1947. Prior to his retirement in 1992, he was employed by Air Products and Chemicals Co., Hanover Township. William was a member of Church of Christ Uniting, Kingston, a 52-year member of Kingston Lodge 395 F.&amp;A.M., Valley of Bloomsburg, and Irem Shrine Center, Dallas, and its Antique and Classic Car Unit. He served with 109th Field Artillery during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his brother, Edward A. 
 Surviving are his wife of 55 years, the former Lorraine Elmy; daughters, Karen R. Shuster and her husband Scott, Dallas,; Charlot R. Byck and husband Louis, Huntingdon Valley; son, William W. and wife Tracey, Dallas; grandchildren, David and Erica Byck, and Loren and William O. Richards II.
 will be held at 10 a.m. Friday from the Church of Christ Uniting, East Market and Sprague Streets, Kingston, with the Rev. Dr. Carol Fleming and the Rev. Dr. Charles Gommer, officiating. Interment will be in Huntsville Cemetery.
 Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Richard H. Disque Funeral Home Inc., 672 Memorial Highway, Dallas. Masonic service will be at 8 p.m. Thursday.
 In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Irem Shrine Shepherds Unit Transportation Fund, P.O. Box 307, Dallas, PA 18612 or the Church of Christ Uniting.
