<b>First Posted:</b> 11/15/2006<br><br>Fourth-grade students at Kistler Elementary School visited The Lands at Hillside Farms. Pennsylvania State Standards for Science outlines courses of study that include the environment, ecology and agriculture for the fourth-grade science curriculum. Students are able to explore these topics during their visit to the farms. Students learn about farming methods, planting, harvesting, animals and a host of other related areas. Volunteer presenters take students through learning stations such as the greenhouses, barns, animal pens and the dairy store, where they are treated to a sample of Hillside Farms ice cream.
