First Posted: 11/24/2013 Plains Township Fire crews battled a blaze that consumed an unoccupied rental cabin behind The Woodlands Inn & Resort on Sunday afternoon. The fire has been been ruled accidental, said Mark Ritsick, Plains deputy fire chief. The fire started around 3:30 p.m. when maintenance crews were melting frozen water pipes, Ritsick said. The cabin likely has been burned beyond repair. Kingston/Forty Fort Fire Department members were on the scene to fill in if Plains Township firefighters needed back up. Plains Rescue Medic 2 also responded. No one was injured.
