The post&#8217;s annual turkey shoot will take place at 10 a.m. on Nov. 24. The event is open to the public and all members.
WEST PITTSTON: West Pittston American Legion Lt. Jeffrey DePrimo Post 542 will meet at 6 p.m. on Thursday at the home of Commander Ron Gitkos, 459 Roosevelt St., Exeter. WEST WYOMING: American Legion Morning Star Post 904 will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 14 at the West Wyoming Hose Company 1.
Nominations and elections of officers were held at the previous meeting. By a majority vote, it was decided that all officers will remain in their offices for the year 2014.
Officers are Jerome Domkowski, commander; Mathew Kearns, first vice commander; Joseph Granteed, second vice commander; Robert Jones, chaplain; and Ronald Semanski, sergeant-at-arms and service officer; Mathew Kearns, acting adjutant; Frank Perfinski, membership chairman; Daniel Grescavasge, historian; George C. Yurek, president, Home Association; Robert Jones, vice president, Home Association; and Leonard Karrott, treasurer, Home Association.
The post&#8217;s annual Christmas dinner will be held on Dec. 15 at Agolino&#8217;s Restaurant, West Pittston. Reservations can be made by contacting George C. Yurek at 570-693-1913, Bob Jones at 570-693-0487 or Ron Semanski at 570-288-3257. Deadline for reservations is Nov. 30.
