<b>First Posted:</b> 5/5/2013<br><br><p>LEHMAN TWP. &#8212; The Jewish Community Center in Wilkes-Barre held a Dance-Athon at its day camp near Harveys Lake on Sunday afternoon to raise money for the group&#8217;s summer day camp scholarship fund.</p>
<p>The event, organized by JCC Zumba instructor Jody Nogin, featured several popular instructors from throughout the area leading participants in workouts in Piloxing, Hip Hop, Zumba and dance. <div>&#8220;It&#8217;s very rare to get so many talented instructors together to participate in an event like our&#8217;s today,&#8221; Nogin said. &#8220;We&#8217;re very grateful.&#8221;</div> <div>The instructors who volunteered their services included: <span style="font-size: 11pt;" >Diane Butwin of the Greater Pittston YMCA, Gina Boyle from Sweat in Luzerne, Tony Balucha from the Wilkes-Barre YMCA and Lauren Cooper of Cooper Dance Studios in Wilkes-Barre.</span></div> <div style="text-align: center; margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0;" > </p>
<p> </div> <div>&#8220;We&#8217;re really excited about this event because the summer season is almost here,&#8221; day camp Assistant Director Sara Pisarz said. &#8220;And all the money we raise today will go directly into the camp&#8217;s scholarship fund.&#8221;</div> <div>The Dance-Athon featured a number of raffles and giveaways, and entertainment was provided by DJ Optimum.</div> <div>Organizers said they wanted to thank all the volunteers and donors who contributed to make the event a success.</div> <div>Donations can be made payable to JCA at the JCC or by contacting Camp Director Rick Evans at <a href="tel:570-824-4646" target="_blank">570-824-4646</a>.</div></p>
