First Posted: 4/26/2013 The Kingston Senior Center recently held an &#8220;Aware, Avoid, Alert&#8221; program. The program is part of the Senior Crime Prevention University sponsored by the Attorney General of Pennsylvania. Participants were part of an interactive presentation that taught them to be &#8216;aware&#8217; of the threat of fraud and scams to the community; how to &#8216;avoid&#8217; being victimized; and how to make sure they know to &#8216;alert&#8217; local law enforcement when they are concerned about their safety. David Shallcross, a representative from the Office of the Attorney General, shared the latest tricks criminals are using to commit fraud and scams in our communities.
