WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A Wapwallopen man will up to four years in state prison for the sexual abuse of a 5-year-old.James Young, 39, was sentenced Monday in Luzerne County Court to two to four years behind bars followed by three years probation on charges of indecent assault of a person younger less than 13 years of age and felony corruption of minors, according to court papers.Judge Tina Polachek Gartley credited the man for 79 days served, court documents say.Young pleaded guilty to the charges in February.Court papers say Young is classified as a tier three sexual offender, and must register as such for life.According to police, Young made a 5-year-old girl get undressed while he took off his own clothes, and also touched the girl while masturbating on at least two different occasions.Young lived for a time with the girl, her mother and brother and the instances of abuse occurred while the girl&#8217;s relatives were in different rooms, police say.
