<p>The chance for rain will exist over the holiday weekend, but a complete washout is not expected in the Wyoming Valley.</p><p>The National Weather Service indicated that it was 60 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with partly cloudy skies kicking off the day.</p><p>Patchy fog could be found in some parts of the region before 10 a.m. this morning. Partly sunny skies are expected otherwise today, with a high near 80 degrees. Mostly cloudy skies are predicted for tonight, with a low around 55.</p><p>Partly sunny skies will round out the week on Friday, with a high near 80. Mostly cloudy skies will once again follow on Friday night, with a low around 60.</p><p>A slight chance of showers will kick off Independence Day, followed by a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny skies are expected otherwise, and the high will be near 76.</p><p>Partly cloudy skies are expected for Saturday night, along with a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8 p.m. A slight chance of showers will exist in the overnight hours, and the night&#8217;s low will be near 60.</p><p>Mostly sunny skies will wrap up the holiday weekend on Sunday, with a high near 83. Partly cloudy skies will follow on Sunday night, with a low around 61.</p>
