<p>Keep the rain gear handy &#8212; the chance of showers and thunderstorms won&#8217;t be leaving the Wyoming Valley anytime soon.</p><p>The National Weather Service indicated that it was 72 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with mostly cloudy skies kicking off the day.</p><p>Partly sunny skies are expected today, but there will be a 50 percent chance of showers, with thunderstorms possible after 10 a.m. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, but more could fall in thunderstorms. Today&#8217;s high will be near 84 degrees.</p><p>Clouds will gradually move back into the region tonight, with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 a.m. Tonight&#8217;s low will be around 71 degrees.</p><p>Showers and thunderstorms will be likely between noon and 4 p.m. on Wednesday. Up to a quarter of an inch of rain is possible, and more could fall in any potential thunderstorms. The day&#8217;s high will be near 80 degrees.</p><p>Cloudy skies will follow into Wednesday night, along with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, and the low will be around 65 degrees.</p><p>Thursday will once again bring cloudy skies and a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 8 a.m. The high will be near 80 degrees.</p><p>Most mostly cloudy skies, along with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, will carry on into Thursday night. The low will be around 62.</p>
