House lawmaker floats ‘middle-of-the-road’ budget proposal

<p>The 18th annual Briggs Farm Blues Festival welcomed hundreds of visitors last weekend.</p><p>The farm, founded in the 1760s in Nescopeck, has founded and hosted the event because owner, Richard Briggs, was so impressed by the blues style of music he wanted to provide a venue to share it.</p><p>This year&#8217;s shows included performances by Devon Allman, Danielle Nicole, Mike Zito, Teeny Tucker, Jimmy &#8220;Duck&#8221; Holmes, Alexis P. Suter, Bobby Kyle, Slam Allen, Butterfield Revisited, Lonnie Shields, Terry &#8220;Harmonica&#8221; Bean with The Cornlickers, Miss Melanie &amp; The Valley Rats, Jesse Loewy and Ben Singleton, to name a few.</p><style>
