EAST PENN TWP. &#8212; A 3-year-old boy died and five others were seriously injured in a vehicle crash on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Carbon County Monday night, state police at Pocono said.State police said all the occupants of the vehicle are from Chester, Delaware County.Lashiera Johnson, 25, operating a 2002 Mercury Mountaineer, was traveling north on the turnpike when she lost control of the SUV that rolled several times at about 8:15 p.m., state police said.Three occupants were ejected from the vehicle.Lashiera Johnson, and passengers Sharekka Johnson, 24, a 1-year-old boy, a 4-year-old boy and a 2-year-old girl sustained serious injuries and were transported to Lehigh Valley Medical Center.State police said Lashiera Johnson and Sharekka Johnson were not wearing seatbelts. It was unknown if the children were fastened in child safety seats, state police said.
