Wilkes-Barre church holding Sweet Saturdays event to bring people together

<p>Former Boys Club of West Scranton members recently gathered to plan an alumni fundraising event to benefit the Boys &amp; Girls Clubs of Northeastern Pennsylvania. The event will be held 1-6 p.m. Saturday Aug. 15, at the Victor Alfieri Club. Cost is $35 and includes lunch, dinner and draft beer. Tickets must be pre-purchased. T-shirts will be sold featuring the Boys Club original logo for $10 each. Pre-order T-shirts by contacting a planning committee member.
