<p>Sunshine and hot temperatures will have a firm grip on the Wyoming Valley for the foreseeable future, but some rain will be possible on Thursday.</p><p>The National Weather Service indicated that it was 70 degrees as of 7:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with mostly sunny skies kicking off the day</p><p>Those sunny skies will stick around today, with a high near 91. Partly cloudy skies will follow into tonight, with a low around 70.</p><p>Partly sunny skies are expected for Thursday, but there will also be a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, and the high will be near 88.</p><p>Partly cloudy skies are predicted for Thursday night, with a low around 65.</p><p>Sunny skies will wrap up the week on Friday, with a high near 84.
