<p>Areas of minor and heavy congestion could add on a few minutes to the morning commute this morning.</p><p>Free-flowing traffic is reported on Interstate 81 this morning, while scattered areas of minor traffic are reported on Interstate 476. Scattered minor traffic is also reported on Routes 315 and 115.</p><p>The North Cross Valley Expressway is not reporting any congestion this morning, but some could be encountered on the off-ramps. Commuters traveling on the South Cross Valley Expressway could encounter some delays, as a PennDOT contractor is beginning a <a href="https://www.timesleader.com/news/local/375414/9-million-improvement-on-the-south-cross-valley-begins-tomorrow" target="_blank">$9 million improvement project</a> today.</p><p>Near the Wyoming Valley Mall, scattered areas of heavy congestion are reported on Kidder and Mundy streets. Minor congestion is also reported on Highland Park Boulevard, along with Coal and East Northampton streets. Commuters could also encounter some areas of heavy traffic on Wilkes-Barre Township Boulevard.</p><p>Downtown, minor traffic and some isolated areas of heavy traffic are reported on the following streets:</p><p>&#8226; Wilkes-Barre / South Wilkes-Barre boulevards</p><p>&#8226; North / South Pennsylvania avenues</p><p>&#8226; Hazle Street</p><p>&#8226; Academy Street</p><p>&#8226; East / West Market streets</p><p>&#8226; South Main Street</p><p>&#8226; North / South River streets</p><p>In Kingston, areas of minor and heavy congestion are reported on Market Street and Wyoming Avenue.</p><p>For up-to-date traffic information, including traffic cams, visit the Times Leader&#8217;s <a href="https://www.timesleader.com/traffic" target="_blank">traffic page</a>!</p><style>
