<p>BENTON &#8212; The borough has begun issuing &#8220;Quality of Life&#8221; tickets to property owners who don&#8217;t keep their lawns mowed.</p><p>The borough said the tickets, authorized by a recently adopted ordinance, requires that the offense be corrected within 48 hours. Even if that happens, though, those ticketed must still pay their fine.</p><p>&#8220;When you receive a ticket for a violation, you have 48 hours to correct or abate whatever the ticket was written for. If it was for high grass or weeds, then you have 48 hours from the date on the ticket to mow your grass,&#8221; Codes &amp; Zoning Officer Patti Labonte wrote on the borough&#8217;s website. &#8220;There is also a fine that is imposed for the violation. Correction of the violation does not eliminate the fine.&#8221;</p><p>Those who don&#8217;t pay the fine within 15 days will see their cases elevated to the district magistrate, Labonte wrote.</p><style>
