WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A new protection order has revived previously withdrawn allegations of threats and harassment in the ongoing public drama between a suspended police chief and his former sexual partner.Dupont Police Chief Sean Robert Murray, 52, of Kingston, alleges in a protection from abuse petition filed Monday in Luzerne County Court that Julie A. Kelly, 36, of Scranton, &#8220;refused to honor her end of the agreement&#8221; he says they came to after they obtained PFAs against each other on July 20.A judge dismissed Murray&#8217;s previous order last week after he moved to withdraw from the action. A hearing on the new order is scheduled for Aug. 11.&#8220;In light of recent events of defendant backing out of global agreement &#8230; plaintiff is now even more concerned for his safety,&#8221; Murray writes in his refiled petition.He alleges in his new petition that Kelly has contacted prosecutors in attempt to have him arrested and says she falsified police reports and court documents.Murray also alleges a &#8220;strong possibility&#8221; Kelly or a friend contacted the media.He then makes further allegations of Kelly&#8217;s past and recent &#8220;erratic history,&#8221; as well as alleged physical threats as reason for further concern over his safety.Murray claims the threats are motivated by his knowledge of the woman allegedly providing prescription drugs to her co-workers at the Lackawanna County Prison, and using a false address in order to avoid paying a decade of Scranton taxes.Murray&#8217;s petition goes on to detail episodes of threats and abuse stretching from 2012 to 2015.In the application for his previous order, Murray alleged Kelly on unspecified dates made a number of threats to Murray and his family in phone calls and text messages, caused thousands in damage to his vehicle with a hammer, punched him, dumped hot sauce on him and threatened to shoot him.Kelly alleged in her PFA petition, filed in Lackawanna County, that Murray over the past few weeks had been leaving gifts, toiletries and flowers at her house, all while sending &#8220;hundreds&#8221; of text messages and making phone calls to her relatives.The woman&#8217;s temporary order remains active pending a re-scheduled Aug. 21 hearing on a permanent order.As part of the order, Murray is prohibited &#8212; even in his official capacity as police chief &#8212; from carrying a firearm, and has been suspended without pay from the position.<div class="metaInfo"><bylineMeta>By James O&#8217;Malleyjomalley@www.timesleader.com</bylineMeta></div><div class="metaInfo"><shirttailMeta>Reach James O&#8217;Malley at 570-991-6390 or on Twitter @TL_omalley.</shirttailMeta></div>
