WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A Plymouth Township man has admitted to the January fatal shooting of his sister, Rachel Ann Dukus.Nicholas Gleco, 44, pleaded guilty Thursday in Luzerne County Court to one misdemeanor count each of involuntary manslaughter and recklessly endangering another person, according to court papers.Judge Lesa S. Gelb immediately sentenced the man to serve nine to 18 months in Luzerne County Correctional Facility, court papers say. He is due to report to prison on Aug. 14.Court documents indicate Gleco is immediately eligible for work release and is to be paroled immediately upon the completion of his minimum sentence.He also must make $3,261 in restitution, court papers say.Investigators allege Gleco was upset and arguing with family members, including Dukus, about a missing rifle that belonged to his late father prior to the shooting.While searching the house for the rifle, Gleco picked up a handgun he believed was unloaded, police say.A criminal complaint says he stood in front of his sister while questioning her about the missing weapon, and she told him not to point the handgun at her and moved toward him when the gun discharged a round.Gleco performed CPR on Dukus, who had no pulse when paramedics arrived, police say.An autopsy revealed Dukus died from a gunshot wound to the head.<div class="metaInfo"><bylineMeta>By James O&#8217;Malleyjomalley@www.timesleader.com</bylineMeta></div><div class="metaInfo"><shirttailMeta>Reach James O&#8217;Malley at 570-991-6390 or on Twitter @TL_omalley.</shirttailMeta></div>
