<p>HAZLETON &#8212; Police said Kelvin Lopez, 18, of Hazleton sexually assaulted an 8-year-old child.</p><p>Lopez was arrested Saturday morning and charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, a first degree felony, following an investigation. He was arraigned by District Judge Martin Kane in Wilkes Barre and committed to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $10,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 19 before District Judge Joseph Zola in Hazleton.</p>
