Regular inspection; in compliance. Violation: Scoops in ready to eat toppings are stored with handles in contact with toppings.Sindaco&#8217;s, 566 Union St., Luzerne, Aug. 4. Regular inspection; in compliance. Violations: Working containers of detergent in food prep area, used for storing taken from bulk supplies, were not marked with the common name of the chemical. The bottle was labeled during this inspection. The food facility does not have the original certificate for the certified food employee posted in public view. The post can opener blade , a food contact surface, was observed to have dried black residue and was not clean to sight and touch. Employee restroom is not provided with a covered waste receptacle for sanitary napkins.Longo&#8217;s Bakery, 138 West 21st St., Hazleton, Aug. 4. Regular inspection; in compliance; no violations.Hurley&#8217;s, 265 Slocum St., Swoyersville, Aug. 4. Regular inspection; in compliance. Violation: Observed a build up of static dust on the fan guard in the two-door glass front Pinnacle beer cooler in the bar area.Fraternal Order of Eagles 1965, 445 West Eighth St., Wyoming, Aug. 4. Complaint inspection; in compliance. Violations: Temperature measuring device for ensuring proper temperature of equipment is not available or readily accessible in in all refrigeration/ freezer units. Food facility does not have available sanitizer test strips or test kit to determine appropriate sanitizer concentration in the three-bay sink in the kitchen or bar areas. Observed a small amount of a black mold like residue on the deflector plate inside the ice machine. The ice machine was emptied, cleaned and sanitized during this inspection. The inside surfaces of the microwave oven in the kitchen, a food contact surface, was observed to have food residue and was not clean to sight and touch. The inside surfaces of the microwave were cleaned and sanitized during this inspection. Observe dried spillage on the bottom shelf of the reach-in refrigeration unit in the food prep area. The food was moved to a newly purchased refrigerator. This refrigerator was unplugged and not going to be used. Observed a build up of dust on the blades of a box fan used as a window exhaust fan. The box fan was discarded during this inspection. Observed a build up of dust on the ceiling fan blades in the kitchen. Observed dried food spillage on the white plastic portion of the electric can opener. Lights are not shielded or shatter proof in the food prep area. A portion of the ceiling is missing in the bar area near the pool tables, and needs repair. The person in charge stated that the bathtub in the apartment upstairs leaked, causing the ceiling to come down approximately one week ago. They are planning to have it repaired within two weeks.
