Judge OKs $4.75M settlement by ‘kids for cash’ center owner

<p>TUNKHANNOCK TWP. &#8212; A woman from Wyoming Borough, Luzerne County, was arrested on charges she threatened township police officers with a handgun and fired three rounds into a residence on Tuesday.</p><p>Township police Chief Stanley J. Ely and Patrolman John B. Zdaniewicz responded to an incident on Shore Drive in Tunkhannock Township, Wyoming County, at about 4:15 p.m.</p><p>Once on scene, Ely and Zdaniewicz observed Bonnie L. Brokenshire outside a residence allegedly holding a handgun.</p><p>Brokenshire allegedly aimed the handgun at Ely and Zdaniewicz yelling at the officers to stay back, then fired three rounds at the residence, police said.</p><p>Brokenshire was taken into custody and charged with three counts of discharge of a firearm into an occupied residence, two counts each of aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment and terroristic threats, and one count each of firearms not to be carried without a license and criminal mischief. She was jailed at the Wyoming County Correctional Facility for lack of $150,000 bail.</p><style>
