<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A Wyoming man who was convicted on child pornography charges involving downloading nude images of preteen girls will spend up to six years behind bars.</p><p>Timothy David Bozek Sr., 61, was sentenced on Friday by Luzerne County Judge Tina Polachek Gartley.</p><p>According to an affidavit, Bozek&#8217;s son called 911 on Aug. 8, 2014, saying his father was watching child pornography.</p><p>Bozek told investigators they might find some images of children on his computer, because he was trying to catch men who exploit juveniles, the affidavit states.</p><p>Police said Bozek told them he was a victim of abuse as a child, and &#8220;he has to look for these pictures and find the people that are sexually exploiting those children.&#8221;</p><p>Investigators who seized Bozek&#8217;s computer said they found numerous images of minor females who were undressed or wearing transparent clothing, some of them as young as 2 to 4 years old. Some of those children were engaged in sex acts, according to the affidavit.</p><p>During a follow-up interview, Bozek initially told police that he had visited preteen websites to help the FBI close those sites, but had never downloaded any such images, police said.</p><p>But Bozek then admitted to visiting such sites for several years, when under the influence of alcohol and that &#8220;he may have a problem,&#8221; according to the affidavit.</p><p>Bozek maintained his innocence before the court, however.</p><p>A jury in May found him guilty of 10 counts of child pornography and one count of criminal use of a communication facility after a two-day trial before Gartley.</p><p>The judge on Friday handed down a sentence of three to six years in state prison, with credit for 101 days of time served. Bozek&#8217;s prison sentence will be followed by five years of probation.</p><p>Bozek will be subject to lifetime registration as a sex offender, and must participate in a treatment program. He also was prohibited from using the Internet for any purpose, and may not have any contact with minor children.</p><style>
