<p>SCRANTON &#8212; One of the most elaborate weddings of the year is set to take place at McDade Park in Scranton on Aug. 29. No expense will be spared. Guests who are not bearing gifts will be asked to pay a $5 dowry at the door, and the bride and groom will be dressed in the finest formal wear. During this ceremony, both the bride and groom will walk down the aisle on four legs.</p><p>The marriage of Larry W. Weimaraner to Morgan Wiernusz Newfoundland, two dogs associated with Tracey&#8217;s Hope Hospice &amp; Rescue, will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. under Pavilion One. All proceeds from the day will go toward veterinary bills accumulated over three years of caring for a kennel full of dogs.</p><p>The newlyweds-to-be are registered at Pet Valu at the Shoppes at Montage in Moosic. The couple will get some of the gifts but will share the rest with dogs in care.</p><p>The reception includes, food, raffles, a DJ and a cake, edible for both dogs and human guests.</p><p>Tracey&#8217;s Hope provides hospice and temporary care for rescued dogs. It also places animals in foster and adoptive homes and even aids in the prosecution of animal abusers.</p><p>Denise Kumor, CEO of Tracey&#8217;s Hope, said she holds public events to raise awareness that help is available in situations of animal abuse and negligence.</p><p>&#8220;We have these 30 dogs (from an animal cruelty case that began in 2012) &#8230; and we have to pay for all of their veterinary bills, so anywhere we can come to get noticed to get help with these bills, because we&#8217;re not funded in any other way but with donations, we come out to the communities,&#8221; Kumor said.</p><p>Vito P. DeLuca will preside over the nuptials, and afterward, there will be a car show from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., complete with food, music and raffles. First prize is an overnight stay at Mohegan Sun Casino Hotel, dinner for two at Timber&#8217;s Casino Buffet and $50 worth of free slot play.</p><p>Guests are invited to bring their dogs. Prizes will be given to the best dressed furry wedding guest. The winner will receive gift cards valued at $200.</p><p>Groom-to-be Larry, was rescued, along with 29 other dogs, by Tracey&#8217;s Hope after a Moosic resident was accused, and later convicted, of negligence and abuse.</p><p>Marty Kumor, Denise&#8217;s husband and business partner, said Larry has recovered well since the couple took him in.</p><p>&#8220;He was near death,&#8221; he said. &#8220;He was emaciated really bad &#8230; Since then, he&#8217;s really come around and put some weight back on.&#8221;</p><p>Marty Kumor will be walking Larry down the isle on the big day. Every dog in the wedding party will have a two-legged escort.</p><p>Larry&#8217;s Newfoundland bride, Morgan, is a friend of Tracey&#8217;s Hope. She will be donning a white wedding gown while Larry sports a black tuxedo with white dress shirt and bow tie. A best man and a maid of honor, along with bridesmaids, groomsmen, a ring bearer and a flower girl, will be similarly dressed for the occasion.</p><p>All clothing is made by Linda Clark of Sharp Dressed Dog in Old Forge. The custom tailor, who usually makes winter clothing, measured each dog to ensure the perfect fit.</p><p>Clark said she enjoys her participation in the wedding and with Tracey&#8217;s Hope.</p><p>&#8220;At first when she (Denise) mentioned it to me, I was chuckling, because I&#8217;d never seen or heard of it before, but I&#8217;m actually really honored to be part of this, to be able to say, the day of the wedding, that those dresses and those tuxedos are mine.&#8221;</p><p>The post wedding car show was organized by Chelsea Zongilla, a Duryea resident who volunteers at Tracey&#8217;s Hope and is a foster parent to a rescued dog.</p><p>Zongilla, who goes to car shows displaying her Volkswagen Beetle adorned like a lady bug, brought two of her passions together to add to the amusement of the day.</p><p>&#8220;I know a lot of people who love cars and are also animals lovers, and I thought it would be a good idea for a benefit,&#8221; she said.</p><p>Cars and motorcycles are welcome to register at $15 per entry, but spectators are welcome for free. Trophies will be awarded for best in show and crowd favorite.</p><style>
