Peach pleases crowds of thousands

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; The F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts will host the premier performances of two, brand-new tours based on hit PBS KIDS&#8217; television shows.</p><p>Both companies will spend a week rehearsing at the Kirby Center, before kicking off their respective tours.</p><p>Clifford the Big Red Dog Live! arrives in town on Oct. 1 and will host a public performance on Oct. 8 at 6:30 p.m., while Daniel Tiger&#8217;s Neighborhood Live! moves in on Jan. 4 before taking the public stage on Jan. 13 at 6:30 p.m.</p><p>Tickets for both shows are on sale now and are available at kirbycenter.org, over the phone at 570-826-1100 or at the Kirby Box Office. Tickets for both shows are $23 and $33 plus fees.</p><p>In Scholastic&#8217;s Clifford The Big Red Dog LIVE!, Clifford and Emily Elizabeth will take audiences on a musical journey to Birdwell Island with their friends Cleo, T-Bone, Charley, Jetta, and Mac. And they will learn about Clifford&#8217;s BE BIG!&#8482; Ideas &#8212; Share, Play Fair, Have Respect, Work Together, Be Responsible, Be Truthful, Be Kind, Help Others, Believe In Yourself and Be A Good Friend &#8212; with laughter, songs and dancing that the whole family will love.</p><p>Clifford&#8217;s Big Ideas came out of the curriculum developed for the award-winning animated television series Clifford the Big Red Dog, based on the books by Norman Bridwell that airs on PBS KIDS&#174;.</p><p>Clifford continues to perform well internationally with television episodes airing in more than 110 countries worldwide. With more than 126 million books in print, Clifford is a literary classic that has been embraced by parents, teachers, and kids for over 50 years and counting.</p><p>In Daniel Tiger&#8217;s Neighborhood Live!, the legacy of the beloved &#8220;Mister Rogers&#8221; lives on with the hit television series, Daniel Tiger&#8217;s Neighborhood, from The Fred Rogers Company and airing daily on PBS KIDS. Now, Daniel and all of his friends are hopping aboard Trolley to delight live audiences with Daniel Tiger&#8217;s Neighborhood Live!</p><p>Donning his iconic red sweater, Daniel invites the audience on an interactive musical adventure as he and his friends explore the vibrant world of their much-loved Neighborhood of Make-Believe, sharing stories of friendship, helping others, and celebrating new experiences. This live theatrical production filled with singing, dancing, laughter and &#8220;grr-ific&#8221; surprises will warm the hearts of multiple generations.</p><p>Daniel Tiger&#8217;s Neighborhood tells its engaging stories about the life of a pre-schooler using musical strategies grounded in Fred Rogers&#8217; landmark social-emotional curriculum. Through imagination, creativity and music, Daniel and his friends learn the key social skills necessary for school and for life.</p><p>In February 2015, Daniel Tiger&#8217;s Neighborhood was the #2 program across all TV networks for Kids 2-5 and with moms of young children. In addition, it continues to be one of the highest-streamed shows, averaging over 40 million streams per month.
