Family, neighbors of Forty Fort fire victim celebrate her life

<p>Prior to the start of the 2015 Little League Baseball World Series Championship Game on Sunday at 3 p.m., Little League will honor the contributions of the Pennsylvania State Police with a special on-field ceremony.</p><p>Little League will present Captain David J. Young and Troop F with the 2015 W. Howard Hartman Little League Friendship Award. Following the presentation, Little League will honor the life of Corporal Bryon K. Dickson, II who was shot and killed from an ambush at the Blooming Grove barracks in Pike County on Sept. 12, 2014.</p><p>Following the award presentation, Cpl. Dickson&#8217;s wife, Tiffany, and their two sons, Bryon and Adam, will be escorted onto the field of Howard J. Lamade Stadium by Lt. Colonel George Bivens, Pennsylvania State Police Director of Operations, and Trooper Alex T. Douglass. Trooper Douglass came to Corporal Dickson&#8217;s aid but was shot and wounded, while assisting Cpl. Dickson.</p><p>Bryon and Adam Dickson will throw ceremonial first pitches prior to the start of the 2015 Little League Baseball World Series Championship Game. Bryon and Adam play for the Dunmore Little League. Prior to the start of Dunmore Little League&#8217;s season, the Dunmore Borough Council renamed the road leading to the field in Cpl. Dickson&#8217;s honor.</p><p>Since Cpl. Dickson&#8217;s passing, a memorial fund has been established through the Pennsylvania State Troopers Association&#8217;s Troopers Helping Troopers Foundation.</p><p>&#8220;Little League is proud to honor Troop F with the Hartman Friendship Award this year, and recognize Corporal Dickson&#8217;s family and Trooper Douglass with this special tribute.&#8221; said Stephen D.
