Trevor Woodruff has resigned as head men&#8217;s basketball and golf coach at Misericordia University and has been named head women&#8217;s basketball coach at the University of Scranton.&#8220;I want to thank Trevor for his outstanding contributions to Misericordia basketball, the overall athletic program, and the University,&#8221; said Chuck Edkins, director of athletics at Misericordia. &#8220;He has given of himself to Misericordia as both a student-athlete and professional. That is a true testament to his belief and passion for MU. We understand that this decision was difficult for him, but in the best interest of him and his family.&#8221;Woodruff spent 11 seasons as head coach at his alma mater and was a two-time MAC Freedom Conference Coach of the Year.His teams won two MAC Freedom Conference championships while compiling a 169-142 record.During his playing days at Misericordia, Woodruff served as team captain as a senior. He was an All-Pennsylvania Athletic Conference selection and led the Cougars to the 1999 PAC title game.
