Early on Tuesday the RailRiders knew they were going to lose a lot of players to the Yankees due to September call-ups.That didn&#8217;t matter at all for the game last night at Rochester&#8217;s Frontier Field as Scranton/Wilkes-Barre got help from newcomers in defeating the Red Wings 2-1 to clinch at least a tie for the International League North Division.The RailRiders lead the second-place Red Wings by six games with six remaining in the regular season. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre will look to clinch its first division title since 2012 with a win tonight against the Red Wings. Right-hander Kyle Haynes (3-1, 4.13) takes the ball for Dave Miley&#8217;s club and will be opposed by Red Wings lefty Taylor Rogers (9-12, 4.19) with game time set for 7:05 at Frontier Field.Two players who were promoted earlier in the day paid off in Tuesday&#8217;s game as infielder Ali Castillo had three hits and Jake Cave had a go-ahead sacrifice fly in the seventh inning to back another quality start from Kyle Davies.In the second inning, the RailRiders took a 1-0 lead when Gregorio Petit hit his first homer of the season as a RailRider in 43 games after going deep 10 times last season with Triple-A Oklahoma City and twice with Houston.The Red Wings tied it up in the bottom of the fourth when Reynaldo Rodriguez stole third and scored on a throwing error making the score 1-1.Cave, who pinch-hit for catcher Juan Graterol in the seventh, made his first career Triple-A plate appearance a productive one driving in Slade Heathcott to give the RailRiders the lead.Davies (10-8) pitched six strong innings allowing just three hits pitching at least six innings for the 13th time this season in his 26 outings only one of those 13 has not been a quality start.The team&#8217;s ace didn&#8217;t allow any hits after Josmil Pinto singled with no outs and a runner on in the fourth.
