September 11 remembrances by local organizations are being planned

<p>The Luzerne County Community College nursing department hosted the sixth annual Northeastern/Central Pennsylvania Interprofessional Education Coalition (NECPA-IPEC) student care summit. The summit was conducted throughout the region in Wilkes-Barre, Williamsport, Dallas, Nanticoke, and Scranton. A patient case was presented and there was a small roundtable discussion along with learning each others roles for better patient outcomes. The professionals represented at each table included nursing, pharmacy, medicine, social work, occupational therapy, physical therapy, physician assistant, emergency medical technician, athletic training, and exercise science.
