<p>Amy Lynn Ruda and Anthony Joseph Balent were united in marriage on Aug. 1, 2015 at our Lady of Victory, Harvey&#8217;s Lake, by Father Daniel Toomey.</p><p>The bride is the daughter of Ronald and Barbara Ruda, Dallas. She is the granddaughter of Mary Doyle and the late</p><p>Joseph Doyle and Veronica Ruda and the late Joseph Ruda.</p><p>The groom is the son of Michael Balent, Sr., Luzeme. He is the grandson of Joseph Balent and the late Marion</p><p>Balent.</p><p>The bride was given in marriage by her father and mother. She chose her sister, Kristen Yingst as the matron of</p><p>honor. Bridesmaids were Casey Coombs, Betsy Pitcher, Sarah Ridilla, Stephanie Frank, Lisa Lopes and Janelle</p><p>Heilman.</p><p>The groom chose his friend, David Ridilla, as his best man. Groomsmen were Phil Buickus, James Burns, Michael</p><p>Balent Jr., Ryan Ruda, Kevin Marseco and Matt Traver.</p><p>The flower girl was the bride&#8217;s grandmother, Mary Doyle, from Harvey&#8217;s Lake, formerly from Pittston. She celebrated her 96th birthday on Aug. 29, 2015.</p><p>The ring bearers were Mason and Blake Yingst, nephews of the</p><p>bride.</p><p>An evening cocktail hour and reception was held at the Holiday lnn, East Mountain, Wilkes-Barre.</p><p>The bride is a 2003 graduate of Lake Lehman High School and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in speech</p><p>language pathology from Misericordia University. She is employed by Good Shepherd Rehabilitation, Allentown, as a</p><p>pediatric speech language pathologist.</p><p>The groom is a 2003 graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in</p><p>kinesiology from Penn State and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Scranton. He is</p><p>employed as a physical therapist in Quakertown.</p><p>The couple honeymooned in Cape Cod and Maine.</p><style>
