<p>Megan Elizabeth Furner, daughter of Dr. Carl and Catherine Furner, Sugarloaf, and Anthony John D&#8217;Amato, Pittston Township, son of Henry and the late Mary Ann D&#8217;Amato, Pittston Township, were married on Oct. 4, 2014. The double ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Joseph Verespy in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Dupont.</p><p>Given in marriage by her father the bride chose her childhood friend, Marcella Rita Matteo of Middleton, Delaware, as maid of honor. Mrs. Joseph (Christine) McGuire III of Pittston Township , sister of the groom, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Ashley Balogach, Philadelphia; Stephanie Kuharchik, West Wyoming; Patricia Gilley, West Pittston, and Roni Gallo, Robbinsville, New Jersey. Junior bridesmaid was Nekeya De&#8217;Angelo of Conyngham, cousin of the bride.</p><p>Matthew Vitale, West Pittston, performed the duties of best man. Groomsmen were John Paul D&#8217;Amato of Pittston Township, brother of the groom; Thomas Kobeski of Pittston; William Lesho of Exeter; Kenneth Gilley of West Pittston and Joseph McGuire III, Pittston Township, brother-in-law of the groom. Matthew and Christian DeAngelo of Conyngham, cousins of the bride, were ushers.</p><p>Scripture readings were done by Irene DeAngelo godmother of the bride; Carol Daddezio, aunt of the groom; and Alison Conlin, friend of the bride. Musical selections were performed by Megan Davis, harpist; and Christopher Mendecino, organist. Vocal selections were sung by Meghan Davis, Christopher Mendecino and Christina McGuire, who sang a personal selection of Ave Maria.</p><p>The bride is the granddaughter of the late Stephen &#8220;sheriff&#8221; Kuzma and Anna &#8220;Bunny&#8221; Kuzma of Coxeville, Beaver Meadows. She is the granddaugher of Dorothy Furner Costill, Cape Coral, Florida; and the late Carl L Furner, Jr.</p><p>The groom is the grandson of Theodore and Ann Marie Casey of Pittston Township and Henry and Delores D&#8217;Amato, Bear Creek.</p><p>Megan is a 2007 graduate of Bishop Hafey Jr./Sr. High School and a 2010 graduate of King&#8217;s College with a Bachelors of Science degree in biology. She graduated in May 2015 from Temple University School of Pharmacy with a doctorate degree in pharmacy. She is employed by K-Mart as a pharmacist.</p><p>Anthony graduated in 2006 from Seton Catholic High School and in 2010 from Wilkes University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business and a minor in marketing. He is employed by Vintage Tub and Bath in Crestwood.</p><p>The bride was honored at a bridal shower given by the bridegroom&#8217;s family at Sand Springs Country Club, Drums. The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the grooms father at the Fox Hill Country Club in Exeter.</p><p>Following the ceremony an evening reception was held at the Westmoreland Club in Wilkes-Bsrre. The couple honeymooned at Moorea and Bora-Bora. They reside in the Wyoming Valley area.</p><style>
