<p>Average gas prices have dipped across the board in the last week, and the change to winter-grade fuel could drive prices down even further.</p><p>Starting today, AAA Mid-Atlantic indicated that gas stations can start pumping the less costly &#8220;winter-blend&#8221; gasoline.</p><p>According to AAA&#8217;s website, the winter-blend fuel has a higher Reid Vapor Pressure (RVP) because the fuel must be able to evaporate at low temperatures for the engine to operate properly, especially when the engine is cold as the temperatures drop.</p><p>AAA indicated that the seasonal change of gasoline blends should help to bring prices down even further.</p><p>AAA Mid-Atlantic provided the following data for today&#8217;s average gas prices:</p><p>&#8226; Wilkes-Barre area gas average at $2.40 today, unchanged overnight and down 2 cents in the last week. Diesel at $2.78 today, down a penny overnight.</p><p>&#8226; Pennsylvania gas average at $2.42 today, down a penny overnight and down 5 cents in the last week. Diesel at $2.79 today, down a penny overnight.</p><p>&#8226; National gas average at $2.31 today, down a penny overnight, down 7 cents in the last week. Diesel at $2.53 today, unchanged overnight.</p><style>
