First Posted: 3/13/2014 Long-time Children&#8217;s Room mascot, Fred the Bear, will be honored at a retirement story hour and party at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 1 in the Children&#8217;s Room of the Back Mountain Memorial Library. All young patrons are invited to take part in the festivities and then wish Fred a wonderful retirement to the Northern Canadian woods. Children are encouraged to bring a &#8220;homemade&#8221; good-bye card to the party. Fred&#8217;s cousin, Sunny Cuddles, will then be introduced and take over the role of greeter to the Children&#8217;s Room. Those wishing to participate are asked to call the library to register.
