Q - What sports did you play?
A - Baseball, Basketball, Football
Q - Why didn&#8217;t you choose to focus on just one sport?
A - Back then there were no specialties. Now, you have specialties and lift weights to improve muscles for that certain sports. Back then there wasn&#8217;t specialty. It&#8217;s good and it&#8217;s bad. It&#8217;s good because if you&#8217;re a good athlete you&#8217;re helping all sports. I just enjoyed it so much. I just loved to play sports. If there was another one I would have played another one. I wish they had golf so I wouldn&#8217;t be a little better today.
Q - Do you wish you had focused on just one sport?
A - In hindsight, I probably wish I gave baseball a shot. That was my best sport - being approached by Cincinnati and Philadelphia while in high school. They left it up to me back then. Nobody brought me aside. The popularity of football, when you&#8217;re a young kid, can be influencing. You like all that fan fair.
Q - What was your favorite sport and what were you best at?
A - Baseball
Q - Did playing multiple sports hurt your chance to play the collegiate level?
A - If I decided to play baseball people say I could have made the pros. I would have probably worked on different things to improve in that field and that sport. Playing three sports definitely was tough because every sport wants you as much as they can. There&#8217;s a lot to do with each sport now. If you really want to compete and be the best you can you sort of have to narrow it down. A lot of kids know they aren&#8217;t going to make it and they just want to spend time playing sports. Years ago it was harder to be discovered than today.

Q - Why do you choose the sport you did?
A - I absolutely love basketball. I played other sports when I was younger. But basketball was just the sports I liked the best so I decided to stick with that.
Q - Do you miss playing sports you have given up?
A - Without a doubt. When you look back at it and you see the other sports have a good game you always wish you could go back. If I could go back to freshman year, however, I think I would make the same decision to stick with basketball.
Q - Has focusing on one sport helped your chances of earning a college scholarship?
A - Definitely focusing all my time on one sport helped me get to playing basketball at the college level. All the time put in made me the player I am today.
Q - Are you playing your favorite sport or the sport that will best help you get to college?
A - Yes.
Q - When did you choose to become focused on a single sport and why?
A - Freshman year. I came to the decision in the spring. I just decided basketball was the way to go. It was tough at first but I honestly never thought about changing my mind. I just love basketball that much.
