Watch Fire will honor POWs, MIAs

First Posted: 8/19/2014 WYOMING COUNTY &#8212; At state Rep. Karen Boback&#8217;s invitation and with the help of the Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce and the Endless Mountains Visitors Bureau, the Pennsylvania House Appropriations Committee, chaired by Rep. William Adolph, R-Delaware County, will visit the Tunkhannock region to see how funding for state programs impact the area.
The committee also will learn more about the Northeast region&#8217;s contributions to the state economy.
The committee will host two public meetings:
&#8226; Today from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Tunkhannock Public Library, 220 West Tioga St., Tunkhannock, with a focus on state support for newborn health screening; and
&#8226; Thursday from 10:15 a.m. to noon at the Grovedale Winery, 71 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, with a focus on the economic impact of tourism and the Pennsylvania Heritage Park Program.
