First Posted: 2/4/2014 Tea, Tips and Treasures will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, at the Wyoming Free Library, 358 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.
The first theme is Pink and Purple Princess. Children can dress up and bring a doll or animal to match the theme. Tea and snacks will be served, followed by a short workshop which the children can participate in. There is no cost for the program and an adult must stay with the child.
The library will continue the Season 4 discussion of Downton Abbey. The discussion group will meet from 4 to 5 p.m. every Monday. The discussion will end on Monday, Feb. 24.
The library will hold a discussion group during the upcoming season of The Walking Dead. The first discussion will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. every Tuesday, Feb. 11.

The Furry Tails Reading Program meets every third Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. Please call the library to register.
The Wyoming Free Library Crafty Kids Club is held fromt 3:30 to 5 p.m. every Wednesday, discovering new crafting techniques: learn to sew, and create unique gifts for family and friends. For kids ages 7 through 12.
The Coupon Crew will meet at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 8. The group will talk about coupons and how to save money.
The LEGO Club of the Wyoming Free Library will meet from 11 a.m. to noon on the following Saturdays: Feb. 1, March 1 and April 12. This program is free and suitable for children 5 and older. Younger siblings are welcome as well. Registration is required.
Family Movie Time will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on one Saturday a month beginning in February. The following movies will be shown: Feb. 15 - Free Birds; March 15 - Monsters vs. Aliens: Supersonic Ride; April 12 - Jungle Book 2. The program is free; space is limited so please call to register.
YABD (Young Adult Book Discussion), a new young adult book discussion will meet from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 22. The book Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell will be discussed. The group will meet on the last Saturday of every month and books will be decided by vote. Food and drink will be provided.

Introduction to Conversational Spanish-Part 2 will continue from 2 to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18.
The library will have Fill-A-Bag-Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Friday. People can fill up a bag of books from the lobby for $3 per bag. Plastic bags are available in the library.
The Friends of the Wyoming Free Library Book Shop will begin sales again with a Spring Clearance Sale on Saturday, March 15. The bookshop is located next door to the library at the Wyoming United Methodist Church. There will be different item featured for each sale. All sales will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Friends are also accepting book donations for the book shop with the exception of the following: Reference, School Books, Readers Digest, and Magazines.
The Friends of the Wyoming Free Library hold meetings on the first Monday of each month at 6 p.m., and the third Wednesday of each month at 11 a.m. The Friends are currently planning a Recruitment Night and a Banana Festival. The meetings for the Banana Festival planning will be held each Thursday at 2:30 p.m.
The Friends Book Club meets at noon on the second Wednesday of each month. They are reading &#8220;Angel&#8221; by Barbara Taylor Bradford. The new book will be discussed at each meeting. Brown bag your lunch as we discuss the book.

Pittston Library
Pittston Memorial Library has been chosen to sponsor TRL-Teen Reading Lounge, an interactive book club designed exclusively for teens. Teens will read, discuss and create projects based on three books in the fantasy genre.
The first book is &#8220;Divergent&#8221; by Veronica Roth. The books are free to teens who sign up for the program.
The group will meet from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays in the library. The first session will be on Saturday, Feb. 15. All sessions will be led by Mrs. Judy Greenwald, art teacher at Pittston Area High School, and Jean Decker, Young Adult Program Coordinator at Pittston Memorial Library.
Teen Reading Lounge is open to all teens ages 12-18. No special knowledge is required to participate. To register, call the library, or email pittstonlibrary@yahoo.com. Students may also register with Mrs. Greenwald at the Pittston Area High School.

Library Olympics will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15. Join us for a torch ceremony, a parade of nations, and an array of Olympic challenges sure to get your competitive spirit flowing. There will also be crafts and the program will with an awards ceremony. Registration is required.
Zine Making Workshop will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20. Highlight what makes you you. Display your interests and activities in a creative, personal journal. Join local artist Jess Meoni in making and creating your own Zine. Registration is required.
The Oral History Workshop will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 25. Learn how to preserve your loved one&#8217;s story of growing up locally in the valley for future generations. Members of the Greater Pittston Historical Society will present interesting Oral Histories as well as offer some instruction to document your own. Registration is recommended.
Weekly Story Time is held at 1 p.m. every Friday. Introduce children to the library and get them interested in books with our weekly Story Time. Each Story Time includes books, songs and crafts related to that week&#8217;s fun, kid-friendly theme. Register by Wednesday of each week.
LibLab is held at 6 p.m. on Tuesdays. The Library Laboratory is back to continue engaging children ages 9 and up in science-based, hands-on learning activities. Measure, mix, compare, experiment and test in a fun environment where failure is not only possible, it&#8217;s welcomed. Class size is limited; call to register.
