Women missing out on lucrative careers in computer science

So important that members of the Perspective Church were out in force Thursday morning handing out breakfast sandwiches, coffee and cocoa to commuters and other folks working in Pittston City.
Pastor Samuel Washington said the purpose was to not only give back to the community and bring light to the church, but to acknowledge Pittston as a city on an upswing.
&#8220;We are here to encourage the people that are already working here in Pittston to stay in Pittston,&#8221; said Washington. &#8220;We notice that a lot of people get their education here and leave. We want to encourage people that Pittston is not only a good place to live but to work here.&#8221;
Temperatures were chilly with flurries in the air, but still a dozen of the church members were out to lend a hand.
Jeannette Molinaro, church member, was happy to be out in the cold passing on well wishes and food to commuters. &#8220;This is our first attempt at this,&#8221; she said, &#8220;and we want to let the community know that we are here for them and we are not a church that stays behind the closed doors but we are in our community.&#8221;
Nick Kundratik, from Pittston junction, was waiting for the Wilkes-Barre bus to arrive and said he was more that happy to receive a breakfast sandwich and coffee for his ride. &#8220;This is really nice, it&#8217;s a great idea,&#8221; he said.
While there were not too many people waiting for the bus in the cold temperatures, church members took to the streets passing out food, drinks and literature to drivers stopped at the red light.
&#8220;Pittston has a lot to offer and the city is doing it and we want to do our part,&#8221; said Washington. &#8220;Main Street looks beautiful but it&#8217;s going to look even better if the companies that are here, stay here. We want people to work here, learn here and build their lives here. That&#8217;s the goal.&#8221;
