Moms treated to ‘favorite’ lunch items

First Posted: 4/30/2014 The Dallas Softball Team will go to Bat for Autism Awareness on Sunday, May 11 when it hosts the Lake-Lehman High School softball team in a benefit softball game to raise awareness for autism. All proceeds benefit the special education department of the Dallas School District.
Pregame festivities begin at 5 p.m. at the Dallas Little League Field in Dallas which includes guest speakers, administrators, teachers, student/athletes, parents and special guests within the Dallas School community.
These guests will participate in on-field activities such as hitting a ball off the tee, getting to experience the joy of running the bases and sharing in memories that will last a lifetime. Following the festivities, the teams will square off in a rival game set to begin at 6 p.m.
Both teams will wear autism awareness socks to promote the event. The Dallas team will also be wearing tie-dye t-shirts that the students within Wycallis Elementary made for them. Throughout the outfield, posters of autism facts that were created by Dallas student/athletes will be displayed.
You can help by attending the event, bringing everyone you know, making a donation at the field, purchasing an autism awareness bracelet from any softball player, buying an autism awareness car magnet at the field and sharing in lifelong memories with friends.
