at SUMC
Shavertown United Methodist Church Fine Arts Concert series will present GLAD in concert at 7 p.m. today, Sept. 28 at the church, 163 N. Pioneer Ave., Shavertown. GLAD is one of Christian music&#8217;s most enduring vocal groups, with a 30 year history of recording and concert ministry.

Fall barbeque
The annual fall barbeque will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 3 and Saturday, Oct. 4 at the Trucksville United Methodist Church Educational Facility, 4- Knob Hill Road, Trucksville. Takeouts begin at 4:30 p.m.
Meal includes half a chicken, baked potato, all the fixings, homemade desserts and beverages. Ticket prices are $8 for adults and $4 for children.

Rummage sale
The Dorcas Society of St. Paul&#8217;s Lutheran Church, 474 Yalick Road (Route 118), Dallas, has scheduled its fall rummage sale for Friday and Saturday, Oct. 3 and 4.
Shopping hours on Friday will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and then again from 5 to 7 p.m. Shopping hours for Bag Day on Saturday will be from 8 a.m. to moon.
Items available for sale include clothes, shoes, jewelry, household goods, holiday decorations, games, toys, books and lots more. Homemade baked goods will also be available both days.
Rummage, bake sale
A rummage and bake sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 3 and from 9 a.m. to noon on Oct. 4 at the Alderson United Methodist Church, Lakeside Drive, Harveys Lake.
Clothes, books, bedding, odds and ends, kitchen items and baked goods will be available for purchase. For more information, call 570-639-5688.
Clothes Closet
The Clothes Closet at River of Life Fellowship Ministries, located at 22 Outlet Road, Lehman, will be closed on Saturday, Oct. 4. The Clothes Closet will be open to the public from noon to 2 p.m. all other Saturdays.
A large assortment of clothing for all ages and sizes is available. Monetary donations for items taken will be accepted, but are not required.
Movie night
The movie &#8220;God&#8217;s Not Dead&#8221; will be shown at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4 at the River of Life Fellowship Ministries, 22 Outlet Road, Lehman. The public is invited.
Friend day
River of Life Fellowship Ministries, 22 Outlet Road, Lehman, will celebrating &#8220;Friend Day&#8221; on Sunday, Oct. 5. Worship service begins at 10:15 a.m. and a complimentary lunch will be served after our worship.
Roast pork dinner
Gate of Heaven Parish will sponsor a roast pork dinner from 12:45 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 5 at John Paul II Center, Machell Avenue, Dallas, formerly the Gate of Heaven gym.
Menu consists of roast pork, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, corn, applesauce, rolls, butter, assorted desserts and beverage.
Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for children up to age 10. Handicapped seating is available.
Smith Family Revival
The Smith Family Revival will offer music for the 10:15 a.m. worship service on Sunday, Oct. 12 at the River of Life Fellowship Ministries, located at 22 Outlet Road, Lehman.
Chicken and biscuit dinner
The Men&#8217;s Club of Trinity Presbyterian Church, 105 Irem Road, Dallas will sponsor a chicken and biscuit dinner, including homemade desserts and beverages from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18 in the fellowship hall at the reare of the church, 105 Irem Road, Dallas.
Takeouts will be available at 4 p.m. Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children. Children 3 years old and younger eat for free. All proceeds will benefit the programs of the church.
