Lackawanna County projects receive share of gaming fund grants

First Posted: 11/7/2013 The Electric City Trolley Museum will hold a series of holiday season trips, designed to bring cheer to the less fortunate.
Over the Thanksgiving weekend, Friday, Nov. 29, and Saturday, Nov. 30, any child 12 and under who brings an unwrapped toy valued at $5 or more will receive a free trolley ride. All of the toys will be donated to Toys For Tots.
The Trolley will depart those days at 10:30 a.m., noon, 1:30 p.m. and 3.
The other special excursion features Santa Claus. These trips are scheduled for Dec. 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21 and 22. Departure times are set for 10 a.m., 11, 12:30 p.m., 2 and 3:30. Reservations are required.
The 10-mile ride goes to The Trolley Works Building at the PNC Field and back to the museum.
