South Abington sewer contract in final stages

First Posted: 10/23/2013 Two local golfers medaled at the PIAA Class AAA Golf Championships held Oct. 21 and 22 at Heritage Hills Golf Course in York. Abington Heights senior Anthony Sebastianelli finished third overall at 8-over-par, three shots back of state champion Grant Engel of Upper St. Clair. Scranton Prep senior Nick Johnson finished tied for fifth place at 10-over-par.
Abington Heights junior Nick Beckish finished tied for 31st place at 24-over-par.
The Abignton Heights boys golf team finished fifth out of five teams in the PIAA Class AAA Team Championships. Terry Hurst led the team with a 79, Anthony Sebastianelli shot an 82, Nick Beckish recorded an 85, Dave Harris carded an 88, and Matt Heckman shot a 93.
The Holy Cross girls golf team finished fifth out of five teams in the PIAA Class AA Team Championships, but Dalton resident Emily Okrepkie shot the fifth lowest score in the competition with a 95.
The Scranton Prep girls golf team finished fifth out of five teams in the PIAA Class AAA Team Championships. Lauren Wallis led the Classics with a 101.
