Editor’s Note: How does NEPA Haunts come together?

<p>Katelyn Mary Margaret Confer and Matthew Kevin Jenkins were united in marriage at Holy Family Parish in Luzerne on June 27, 2015. Monsignor Joseph McLoone and Pastor Charles Grube officiated the ceremony.</p><p>The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Confer, Shavertown. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Mary Sesson, Montrose, and the late Mr. Walter Confer; and the late Mr. and Mrs. John McDermott.</p><p>The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Jenkins, Downingtown. He is the grandson of Mr. Jeffrey Jenkins, Camp Hill and the late Mrs. Saundra Jenkins; and the late Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Starsinic.</p><p>The bride was given in marriage by her father. She chose sister, Amy Black, as her matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Samantha Jenkins, sister of the groom; and friends, Nicole Clemson, Katrina Heintz, and Caitlin Hissim.</p><p>The groom chose his friend, Benjamin Pipenberg as his best man. Groomsmen were friends, Patrick Doyle, Matthew Liskowycz, Matthew Long and Thomas O&#8217;Brien.</p><p>Flower girl was Maura Sowcik and ring bearer was Chase Sowcik, both cousins of the bride.</p><p>Readings were given by Marcus Sowcik and Maureen Kaschak, cousins of the bride; and Matthew Curran, friend of the groom.</p><p>An evening cocktail hour and reception was held at the Woodlands Inn and Resort, Wilkes-Barre.</p><p>The bride is a graduate of Dallas High School and the Pennsylvania State University, where she earned a bachelor&#8217;s degree in secondary education-mathematics with a minor in special education. She is employed as a mathematics teacher in the Piqua City School District, Ohio.</p><p>The groom is a graduate of Downingtown West High School and the Pennsylvania State University, where he earned a bachelor&#8217;s degree in aerospace engineering. He is employed as a civilian aerospace engineer on the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.</p><p>Following a honeymoon in St. Thomas, the couple reside in Dayton, Ohio.</p><style>
