Neighbors make crossing street safer for crossing guard

<p>State Senator John Yudichak (D-Luzerne/Carbon) recently honored 90-year old Leo Latona of Plains Township with a citation from the Pennsylvania Senate commemorating his ninetieth birthday. Latona founded Latona Excavating in Pittston in 1961 and continues working at the business to this day. The father of two children he has also been blessed with fourteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. At the presentation, from left, are: Latona and Yudichak.</p><style>
