Dupont churches to collect food for needy

First Posted: 10/10/2012 District Governor William Metschulat made his annual visit recently to the Abington Lions to promote Lionism. 
The evening also hosted Gene Scagliotti, Region 2 Chairman and to some previous District Governors, Ethel Heen Neary, who was the first female District Governor (1996-1997) and Edward J. Klovensky (1987-1988). The Abington Lions touted one other past District Governor, the late William Heen.
Susan Hyndz was sworn in as the newest Abington Lion's member. The Abington Lions hosted an installation of officers. Mark Kusma is now the District 14-H First Vice-Governor and Joe Skinner is the District 14-H Second Vice-Governor.
Kusma and Skinner are in line to be Governors with the positions that they each hold. Next year Kusma will hold the District Governor position and the year after Skinner will take the position. Both men are former club presidents and they are also members of the Lions Club as well.
