<b>First Posted:</b> 3/18/2009<br><br>Friends of the Abington Community Library will conduct the semi-annual book sale on Saturday, April 25, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Clarks Summit United Methodist Church, across the road from the library on the Morgan Highway.
Donations of new or slightly used books are being accepted daily at the library during regular library hours. Please bring donated books to the circulation desk. Donated books will be accepted until April 11.
This book sale and another sale conducted each fall represent the two major fundraisers conducted each year by Friends of the Abington Community Library. The book sales offer real value for book lovers who want to expand their personal collections. Hardcover books generally sell for $2.00 and paperbacks for $.50.
Library Director Leah Rudolph and Friends President Karen Brier are currently meeting with committees and other volunteers to arrange the April 25th book sale. Among those serving as volunteer committee members are Jennifer LaBelle, Sandy Tielebein, Alice Kohn, John Adamsky, Nancy Burke, Heidi Caminiti, Pete Chapla, Jose de los Rios, Ronnie Dende, Aleksandra Djordjevic, Beth Florey, Cathie Hartman, Jim Kalp, Elizabeth Klein, Jim McCabe, Jan McCabe, Michelle Sitko and Jim Hennigan.
