<b>First Posted:</b> 12/27/2009<br><br>Hilda Davis, 94, formerly of the Hobbie and Wapwallopen areas, died December 24, 2009, at the Elmcroft Assisted Living Center in Berwick. 
Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Effie Nelson Lipp. She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Mountain Top and resided in this area for most of her life. 
She was also preceded in death by her husband, George Davis; and her brother, Harold Lipp.
Surviving are her daughter, Linda Thomas, Wapwallopen; grandchildren Sue Hidvegi and husband Joseph E., Hetlerville, and Brian Thomas and his companion, Dawn Van Ryn, Drums; two great-grandchildren, Kevin J. Derr, Wapwallopen, and Cassandra Thomas, Pittston Township; several nieces and nephews. 
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:30 a.m. from the McCune Funeral Home, 80 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountain Top, with the Rev. Robert Herrala officiating. Interment Albert Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the funeral home.
